News report on Earthquake

 An earthquake of 6.3 magnitude was felt across northwest India, including Delhi, late on Monday night with its epicentre in Pakistan. The National Center of Seismology also issued a report on it in Monday midnight. People were seen rushing from out of there homes in Punjab, Haryana and National Capital Delhi as well. 





Almost 1500 people injured in this earthquake. Where 500 are in critical situation and 1000 are out of danger. Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal also tweet their after the earthquake, says he is praying for everyone's safety. 



If we do the analysis on the pattern of Earthquake in North India, total number of 745 Earthquake ahs been recorded by the National Seismological Network including 26 quakes in Delhi NCR during last three years(2017-2020). 

Pattern of Earthquake:- Earthquake can strike any location at any time. But history shows that they occur in the same general patterns year after years. 

Why does North India face most of the earthquakes:- The north- eastern region of the country faces earthquakes of magnitude more than 8.0. The main cause of earthquakes in these regions is due to the movement of the Indian plate towards the Eurasian plate at the rate of about 50 mm per year.
